Interesting pint - i am currently in Vietnam for about the 30th time.
No welfare
No pensions
Work 6 days every week
Only 2 weeks holiday and can not be taken in single hits
Impossible for young people to buy a home - 60% deposit needed
Average wage about $400 a month.
BUT
No homelessness that l have ever seen.
No street violence that l have ever seen
Have not noticed Mental Health issues , but know one family with a badly mental affected son , and he works 6 days a week carrying bricks
Yet to see much drunkeness , and certainly never drugs - Coffee is their thing.
Everyone seems very happy , polite , smiling and very friendly
Not sure the West has it right - why so much mental health problems in Australia ??
