    1 . INTRODUCTION
This Annual Environmental Report 2012 is the first made ??by the company
Sundance Resources Limited (Sundance or the Company) for the Project Operations
Iron Ore Mbalam ( the Project) . It was prepared by the Department of Health ,
Safety, Environment and Security Communities or HSECS (Health , Safety,
Environment , Community and Security) Sundance and Cam Iron .
The Company is engaged in the Environmental Impact Assessment and Social
(ESIA) submitted to the Ministry of the Environment and approved in Cameroon
2010, respectively , to account for its environmental programs
and social , their results and their performance in a Report
    Annual environmental publicly available.
Recommendations on the reporting of the GRI Sustainability "
Global Reporting Initiative "( GRI 2010-2011 , Version 3.1 ) were used as
guide for the preparation of the first Environmental Report ( and social)
Year. However , all sections and content suggested by the GRI were
irrelevant due to the still preliminary status of the Project and its system
    management .
Construction had not yet started in 2012 and only
reduced exploration activity took place. Social interventions and
environment have therefore focused on :
    • Compliance with legal and other obligations
    • Maintaining relationships and communication with stakeholders and
    communities
    • The development of a framework for the implementation of a system
    Management, including procedures and documentation
    • The maintenance and development of initiatives to meet the objectives
    • The maintenance and development of programs for sustainable development
    proposed in the ESIA .
A summary of these activities is provided in this report .

    2 . PROJECT Mbalam
The Integrated Project Mbalam - Nabeba is located in Central Africa
and include an iron ore mine in Cameroon and
Another Congo, serviced by a 510 km rail network
through Cameroon east to west to a water port
deep on the west coast of Cameroon and a line of 71 km
connecting to Mbalam Nabeba . The Project will generate Hematite High
Content ( HHT) also called DSO ( Direct Shipping Ore ) for
at least 10 years until depletion . The project
then move to the operation of the itabirite ore less
content and underlying high-grade resource , for
additional period of 25 years .
The Sundance Company was founded in 2007 with the company
Cameroon Cam Iron SA holds two exploration licenses
on promising concessions Mbarga Hills who
the subject of a magnetic survey by the Office of Research
Geological and Mining ( BGRM ) French in the 1960s .
Since then, extensive exploration work conducted at
Cameroon has identified sufficient reserves for a project
economically viable. This program was authorized by a
ESIA for exploration only , received in 2008 , while
full ESIA was approved in June 2010.
In 2010, exploration began in Congo
on two exploration permits adjacent to Mount Nabemba ,
held by Congolese society Congo Iron SA . the Project
Built allow continuous production of 35 million
tonnes of High Grade Hematite per year , which will be quality
higher due to mixing types of ore
complementary. The ESIA Congolese received approval
    Environmental in August 2012.
Project agreements with the governments of Cameroon and
Congolese and arrangements in engineering were
finalized at the end of 2012.
It is important to note that 2012 was also the year of
development of an environmental management system ,
and social (or HSECS ) . This was based on the ESIA
Cameroon and Congo , the new Vision and Values
Company policy and Sundance , and followed the
ISO14001 recommendations and OHSES 18001 , as the
    ESIA .
In the years preceding 2012, the compliance
legal and other was the main priority of the department
HSECS , which rose from 2 in 2008 to 10 at the end
2012, including seven local permanent employees based in Cameroon
    and Congo.
Since late 2010, several development programs
sustainable , including programs for the conservation of
biodiversity and community development , as
commitments made in the ESIA Cameroon , were
implemented or developed for implementation in
Cameroon . A similar process began in the Congo
Following the approval of the ESIA in the third quarter of 2012.
Environmental and social policy commits Sundance
Project to the principles of sustainable development and
strengthening the capacity to realize the vision of the Company
