Assume that most use online trading from one of the big 4 banks or equivalent, say someone uses comsec and you place an order to buy on the online ordering platform that they provide,, that person doesn't buy the security comsec buys it on their behalf as the licensed broker, I don't know what all licensees use but most and I think all can see which licence is representing a buy/sell order, full service brokers, online, funds, even the larger planners, mac ext can all see who is,
