    Hi Bunya,

    I did attend and you are right, the guy from DERM did indicate they had no problem..but the locals were quite hostile at both Cougar and the DERM rep. There appeared to be a large number of people there, would you say 100+?

    More importantly was Len's reluctance to answer some pretty fundamental questions regarding the number of monitoring wells, potential run off and groundwater contamination and monitoring of the air past the flares.

    I know Golders and its Brisbane principal, Scott Phiffer. Golders did the monitoring at the Linc site during and post Len's tenure. I'm sure Len would have been provided with a few reports from Golders by now.

    IMO the meeting certainly did nothing to instill a level of confidence in the local land owners that Cougar knew what they were doing and the DERM Rep certainly didn't leave the meeting unscathed for approving the project without having seen modelling (as it was aledged). However, I'm sure Cougar via Golders would have provided some information to DERM at some stage.

    I've got about 8-9 pages of notes which I'll summarise and post later.
