Greeting from Kingaroy.

I measured 58mm of rain until 10am this morning & it is still raining at the moment but it has become lighter in the past few minutes. Looking at the radar the main rain band should exit Kingaroy in the next half hour or so in my estimation but it appears that there will be a few more showers to follow. It is not a great day for cats - outdoor ones atleast lol.

The weather readings are taken at the Kingaroy airport which is about 4km south of the centre of town. Cougar site would be approx 5kms further south of the airport.

I drove out to the site entrance of Cougar 4.5 weeks ago however, there is a sign on the entrance to the site prohibiting unorthorised personnel. I was hoping to gain entrance & talk to someone there in authority.

The site construction is set well back from the entrance & one is therefore unable to see anything in relation to their development.

I have spoken to a few locals about the ignition date but I have come up empty handed. Additionally, I have had my ears tuned to the sky listening for a jet aircraft to fly in as I figure that will be the way Len will arrive to run some final checks ready for ignition.

Should I hear anything of interest I will post here.
