Thanks Bruce, it's nice to know my post was appreciated. I have not posted here for 2 years or more but I do watch what some posters have to say.

Well, the weather here today is fine & the track is quite good really. I measured 100mm for the past 2 days but that will not impact on Cougar as their operation is high up on one of the bigger hills in the vicinity aside from the Bunya Mountains about 30kms to the south west. It will be business as usual for them today.

The weather system has moved on & the temperature today is expected to be around 25 degrees. Presently it is cloudy but the sun does peep through at times.

The Oasis Motel is on the Diagular Highway on the southern side of Kingaroy (entering from Brisbane). It is one of the older Motels in town but is closest to the Cougar site. In fact I could just about put a stone on the roof of the Oasis from here with my sling shot lol.

I may go for a drive out Cougar way tonight to see if I can detect a glow or flame from the stack. Thanks for the tip Bruce.

It is shopping day today, if I get time I will drop in on some mates who have their finger on the pulse.
