Just got off the phone with Fabian. Messaged him yesterday and he was nice enough to call me this evening. Such a genuinely nice guy to talk to. And being a family man myself he's off for some likely well earned time with the family as will I be next week. Tee it up..

    Right....

News out next week about drill permits for Rana. Fabs confirms form me they are all on time and drill crews arrive (sorry previously said they were already on site as I was mistaken) late June. Drilling to start early July. He reiterated to me that there were no delays in the permitting for Rana.

Top Canadian geological team coming over next from Canada to ramp up the geo surveying. Apparently these guys are the best in the world and responsible for many major discoveries. They've got the coin and they are putting it to work.

Initial geological work that is expected to run past when first drill hole goes down has found signatures thus far but results from this initial work wont be due for a few weeks maybe even late June. I wasn't fishing for him to hang himself on what has been discovered so far. Not my M.O.

The scope of the modelling and geo work is to be focused on new areas of surface sampling/mapping and historical areas where rock chips were at 2%ni and 3%cu and 5%cu respectively as previously reported. I asked how many holes have been drilled on the surrounding areas of Bruvan. He said only a handful and mostly shallow. Its all open he said.

First round of results will define initial drill targets as well as other areas of interest since acquiring the project.

Fabian off to Canada to in the next week or two to meet with BHP for further talks about greenfield exploration and if any such relationship is to continue.

Meeting with deer herders for Porsanger went well apparently and progress continues. I personally feel there will be some time before these permits are granted. And even then they may only throw a few holes down. The focus is now fair and square on Rana and every time I talk to Fabian I'm of the opinion that this will likely put KRM back in the frey all on its own.

Some good news about the final bird survey required from the Finnish authorities. The birds migratory and habitual behaviours fell outside of the prospective mining areas for Pennikat. That's all getting finalised for resubmission in the next couple weeks too. That said we we're hoping to perhaps receive drill permits for this by this time this year. I would imagine we are going to be looking many months before we get any clarification on the progress of those permits unless the authorities get pressured or happen to expedite the approval processes. Still a big if right now is Pennikat permits. But going back on one of my first conversations with Fabs is that the authorities assured KRM they'll get the approvals... just a matter of when.

So while the news isn't all good. And the news isn't going to flow hard this month. Once July kicks in it will be a different story. And we look to forward to some of those initial geological models in late June and hopefully some extensive rock chip samples.
