you ask some good questions.
we have heard the stories about medical technology discoveries and commercialisation since IPO. The last 4 years have had zero traction and I expect this time will be no different as the main determinant of success (the management team) has not changed. How can you seriously expect three capital markets guys who are not engineers/'scientists or doctors to make medical technology discoveries. Its a fallacy.
I think the best course of outcome is if the company was used as a shell and had an RTO with management change.
