I could be wrong, but my understanding is they have been approached by a pharmaceutical company to use the Bodytel system to integrate an existing on-market smart thermometer that does not have analytic functionality... Meaning, yes you are correct Bodytel is an old system that hasn't been very well in the past. But where you may be wrong is the fact it is a ready made system, it could very well be favourable for an existing smart thermometer company to utilise it and if Bodytel can adapt it for the current situation. As analytics seems to be what may help contain and in the future help predict onset of infections.
Ultimately it comes down to how quickly they can get this to work and how well they can get a deal... They REALLY really need to get this deal through while the barrel is still smoking!
