Dont see that Hunt (or A1) have any power at all.
WATPAC is owed money and can close down A1 anytime. This has been mentioned on HC for many months, and has likely been the case since before the SPP failed.
What we know is that WATPAC has come to an arrangement with A1. JW has resigned and Bill Hobba and Albert Longo joined the board. They consider A1 a going concern.
However WATPAC's reputation as a contract miner is shot if they fold their princpal, so I expect Alpha to be mined carefully and profitably.
This means either A1 geologists are on site supervising WATPAC or WATPAC put their own geologists in and charge for them. Moving dirt with no supervision means ore dilution and that reduces / eliminates profit. A1 geologists cant sit in the office in Perth. They need to be at Alpha
So now JW is blamed for an overly optimistic assessment of Beta. He was certainly responsible for selecting WATPAC as the miner and accepted their recommendation of using larger machines. Either the ore was not there, or it has been wasted or diluted or both. A1 is blaming JW for everything. We cant change what happened at Beta. Just hope that Alpha mining produces a profit.
As others have said.. "A1 is a gamble"
