Interesting that people are going beserk at 'New Zealand'. This is a global political thing as we all know, and if Australia had an athlete in the same category Australia would be in the same bind of how to treat a person like this. A 'transgender' could come from any Western country on the globe, it's not a 'New Zealand' issue per se.
Aussies are good at getting worked up and thumping their chests, to no real effect. Just look at their mouthing off re China.
Then you say in response "well how about you blokes stop shipping them all your iron ore and other key minerals for a start - you are just making your erstwhile enemy stronger" and they say "oooooeeeeeerrrr.....we can't do that, it would wreck our economy".
Every 'thinking Aussie' should know that the ordinary Kiwi in the street has know control over how a sporting body chooses to treat Hubbard, and lashing out at 'New Zealand' is wrong-headed. But maybe that's the issue.
