Phoslock may be the front runner in this 12 lake restoration proramme...... In Aug. 2005 they won over the enviorment bay of plenty management, by successfully applying 3 lots of nutrient stripping phoslock to lake Okareka.....Lakes Management are well aware action needs to be taken now to ensure the healthier lakes are protected from high concentrates of nutrients (high levels are evident now )which result in Algal biomass .......The way PHK has worded page 1 of todays ann .they may have part of the NZ 32.mill earmarked for "other sediment treatments '' ................
