I'm not too worried about the encroachment of managed care. There is no way the medical specialists would accept a capped remuneration system. It would also be very difficult to shoehorn capped managed care payments within the uncapped fee for service under Medicare mbs arrangements.
I also think they are more than likely to keep the current management as they seem to be doing a pretty good job in difficult times, the only difference will be how leveraged they will be allowed to be.
I'm not too worried about the encroachment of managed care....
