I have successfully transferred my common shares from Computershare Canada to IBKR.
The process was fairly simple . IBKR will guide you to transfer position via DRS . The fee is CAD$30. The trick is that I've been asked to deposit at least CAD$200 to cover " any potential broker agent fees " . Computershare Canada had confirmed that they don't charge any fees prior to transfer .

I ended up paying CAD$120 in fees . I couldn't get any substantial response from IBKR for a while . The IBKR rep advised that Computershare don't charge customers per se , however they do charge the broker who in turn passes on the fees .

I've sent another request to Computershare Canada to confirm the fees structure . In a nutshell , please be aware that you will pay around $135 for the luxury of getting your fees transferred to IBKR .
