To answer your question: its just one of the many "double speaks" of the company
They extend credit but they dont want to do credit checks as it costs money. When the share price is linked to customers (rather than losses), the founders dont want to slow down customer growth. In turn they can continue to dump stock onto bagholders and cash in their billions.
