Personally I don't see it as a bad thing. While ZIP's marketing is great, I cant remember the last time I saw anything on TV where literally everyday when I watch the news, or something in the evening, there is always an Afterpay ad.
Yes ZIP are online, and on the side of busses, and on billboards etc but honestly as much as I'm invested in ZIP when i think BNPL as a consumer, I think Afterpay, and thats purely because of their marketing.
ZIP need to step it up with their so that they are at the forefront of the consumers mind. Klarna is welcome to Katrina. I hope the new logo and branding campaign is splashed all over the place so that ZIP really gets noticed. Mind you I'm not in the TikTok generation demographic ZIP are targeting, so maybe its just me hahahaha.
