Goodfella raises a lot of good points. This Klarna article mentioning lack of loyalty is true. It's most likely that your average person will have Apt and Zip because they have different purposes, less likely to swap to Klarna if you're already familiar with Afterpay, but globally, there's no loyalty, which leads one to think that in a saturated market the market share will spread across the board and all bnpl's end up being valued roughly the same. Merchant exclusivity could play a role, if I really wanted something that only offered Klarna, I'd probably sign up and use it to get what I want. Anyway, hopefully Apt keeps dominating.
