I wonder why he felt the need to explain, almost two weeks after the deed was done.
Perhaps, reputations can be tarnished more than anticipated.
I find the reasoning very unconvincing.
Rather lame for someone of his ilk.
What is four years within the context of another six months, tops ? I can only smile ...
The second last paragraph speaks volumes.
" Mr Eckhof said AVZ would enter drilling contracts in the next few weeks and start developing a mine early next year ....................... However if a buyer, such as 'one of the bigger Chinese miners' comes knocking, AVZ won’t turn it down. "
After all, some theories seem not so far fetched.
All things considered, this is his 'baby' and he can play it any way we wants.
I guess we owe him for delivering.
However, we do not owe him that much. And others have noticed.
