On today's inside business program M Kloppers stated that 70 % of Chinas IO was now spot . He also pointed out the current spot price is double the benchmark
Vales new support for spot was due to customers defaulting on contracts when spot fell below contract
Kloppers also forecast a doubling of Chinese steel consumption over the next 20 years which would seem to exceed reasonable attempts to match IO supply
Bottom line for FMG which I believe is largely contract and with huge expansion plans seems very positive
