Yeh l know as there's plenty of conflicting reports out there. Have a look at this link where they are about to conduct a study into implanting patients with less severe heart problems to ascertain if a VAD will provide a better outcome than conventional therapies. If findings are positive this opens a much wider market again for VADs.
