You say ICSID is a Western thought bubble. DRC and China are both signature members. DRC signed up in the late 70's and China have been a member since 1990. So, I'm a little confused by your dismissive attitude towards ICSID. If it's just a thought bubble why aren't China already mining the south? The president's family offshore bank accounts in Switzerland have been frozen (I wonder who had the influence to do that?) with the potential for much more to come if ICSID rulings go against the DRC. Nope, it's much more than a thought bubble. It's the big card that AVZ hold. To try to minimise that is to say that this body created and linked directly to the World Bank Group has no teeth. I beg to differ.
