AVZ were always trading at a SUPER MASSIVE discount compared to peers because of the Africa risk, with that risk removed by the minerals for security deal (which goes ahead with/without an AVZ sale), it drastically increases the project value.

Like you say it all hinges on AVZ getting the deserved ML, which is where all parties are coming together for a negotiated settlement where we all benefit. We will not get the hundreds of billions of mineral wealth out of the deal (nor should we given production/technology risk) but even 5-10% of current value its still tens of billions... its all a negotiation game now, NF hasn't blinked so far.
