This is not about ownership it is about potential ownership and leverage.
The whole thing rests on the likelihood that the DRC will be found to have acted unlawfully and against its own mining code in removing AVZ's mining license.
It looks like the chance of this happening is very high PLUS it will expose all the corrupt actors on the world stage.
This is the leverage AVZ has and to avoid this the DRC gov wants to arrange a deal where a new player, who can conveniently comes with security, buys out AVZ and it all goes away and the relevant parties face no exposure.
For this to occur my calcs are in the $1.5 - $2.5 range.
No JV, no part stock ownership, no royalties that may never come.
