"PNG Environment Minister Benny Allan on Tuesday said PNG's Somare government was against all future mining that would disturb the track."


"But Frontier Resources managing director Peter McNeil said Allan was an uninformed source who did not represent the PNG government."
McNeil said his company's gold and copper exploration plan was still in with a chance and next week he would fly to Port Moresby to lobby more PNG ministers.

"Nothing has changed, it's not over," he told AAP.

"We've received no written or verbal notification that we won't get our exploration licence renewed," he said.
