Warren Buffet's guideline was (not verbatim) to look at the business, the debt level, the management, the market for the product etc and the SP last.. if you want to invest just do it regardless of the market value of the day, it will just go up and down constantly, take long term view and ride it out - its tempting to just react to the daily movements and that's what day traders do I suppose (of course) if that's what you are well good luck gambling, the casino is open and brokerage making $$
