He said he was "reaching out" - which I think is honourable. It was a text, not a phone call. Of course, with texting, the recipient has the right to reply or ignore at their leisure. A managing director has nothing to gain by harassing an ex-director's wife late in the night! And if there's a risk that the ex-director is about to sell their shareholding, it's easy to understand why any managing director would be reaching out before the next trading day. If midnight was the first opportunity, then to my mind, that's a sign of a busy managing director. I'm very sorry to lose JB from the board, but from the interview, it would appear he brought it all on himself. When defeated, he used whatever ammunition he had against GM. A late night text to both husband & wife is no horrendous saucy scandal. IMO

JB says his wife was harassed by Guy
Guy says he was just reaching out with a personal message and it was not abusive

At 12:08an - according to the AFR

ive got a few questions for the defenders of Guy

* iIf JB says his wife was harsssed, wouldn’t he know, after all he’s the one with her?
* What kind of personal message needs be sent by text st 12:08an and can’t wait until say 7:00am?
* Why did Guy feel need to send to JB’s wife at all and not just JB?

if you don’t think these questions matter, remember Guy essentially ousted JB and is now running the company, so shareholders have gone from betting on JB to betting on Guy. So his judgment and character matter

my theory on it all is that there some kind of play on JBs
wife an “I love you” kind of message from Guy that was rejected and found offensive. But Guy being in love with JBs wife thinks it’s just matter of time before she comes around. That would explain 12:08am, why JB called harsssment and why Guy calls it just a “personal message”
