That outcome is golden and rotten to the core for the recipient of his wrath.
This is what's wrong nowadays - integrity of word.
I wish any member who is taken on for defamation all the very best. And remember sometimes it's good to go with it and expose the fibs, just as often as it is not.
Glad to ehar this one was sorted out with only a few thou $$$.
