Years ago it would not have been routine to run assays for REE. Unless you had a good reason - such as striking some unusual and strange minerals. It is conceivable that CMR's attention has been on Browns and no multi-element assay scans have been done on the right samples. Or maybe their exploration has not yet crossed REE anomalies. Odd things can happen. Despite the current legal position - somebody must have custody of the CMR/HNC database. Maybe soon there will be a search in an old shed somewhere near RJ for the remains of samples to run for REE.
