Korea National Oil Corp. (KNOC) is considering acquiring the Dorado Field, page-9

I read it that KNOC is in a big of distress, and some Korean journo interrogating them have asked them, well what have you been looking at to bolster your reserves?

Doesn’t sound like they have talked to STO, or it would likely have been the party referenced rather than CVN (or god help them 3D Oil). Don’t sound like a company that would bring a lot of skill, cash or experience to the JV. More like a troubled beast clutching at straws to justify a bail out.

Just my unresearched thoughts based solely on what has been posted.

As for yesterdays drop, not a huge volume, could just have been a better funded Illario type capitulating, someones stop loss being triggered or a margin call. Which spooks others to sell, as there are plenty of folk out there more inclined to sell when the sp is low than when high.
