That was a pretty aggressive statement by POSCO. Whilst I can see the benefit for SDL in others funding the rail line, you would think that operations and profit would then be for POSCO and the Cameroon government to determine, resulting in SDL paying freight costs and no upside from other miners using the rail link. Reduced Capex, reduced income. Maybe a good result.
I have to say though, I am left feeling a little uneasy with such negotiations taking place, no mention of colaborative work with SDL and no mining convention in place.
