This is the subtlety that I thought pj was fixing on in his original post about 'creating assets out of thin air'. If you're going to promise that barrel of oil, then you'd better deliver it. Coming through this kind of 'bootstrap' event is how juniors turn into mids. Having big brothers in a production JV also helps because they have lotsa inventory just in case.
