Thanks for responding. I think the point that started this was that it would be reasonable, for project evaluation, to use the future price (as signalled by the market) at production year one, rather than today's spot price.
The further point was made that these prices are not just signalled but actually offered. Thus creating a level of certainty that may be helpful in obtaining debt funding.
I personally would like to think a less risk averse approach would be taken.
