Well yeah, that would be a genuine risk of this type of market manipulation. However, in that case, the "manipulator" sells at a profit anyway, so the risk is losing your position, rather than losing you money.
Interestingly, the "Great Wall of Manipulation" is now ALL gone.
It's got to be a single actor with mass holdings (like an institution).? It sure looks like it to me anyway.
