So I have been doing some research. Apparently not all stock markets have the mechanism to put a stock into a trading halt.
That facility is available on the ASX, but is simply not available on some markets in certain countries (i.e. each market has its own listing rules which are specific to its local jurisdiction).
That might explain what we are seeing in relation to this KP2 trading halt.
