But first, what is news?

A properly functioning compass would read, in a circular clockwise direction, North East South West, or NESW.
However, the ‘news’ represents North East West South - NEWS.
This represents a disorderly compass, a broken compass.
A compass is used to determine direction. A compass is a guide.
Many, if not all, news media consumers consider the news to be a guide to world events.
A popular use of the term 'compass' is 'moral compass'.
Thus, NEWS has the occult agenda of discombobulating (breaking) one's moral compass.
A television-watching news believer is guaranteed to have a broken moral compass.
“Television Watching News Believer” is the title of an excellent musical song by Conspiracy Music Guru.

Continuing with this 'compass' analogy, drawing a horizontal line to join the East and West points of a compass and drawing a vertical line to join the North and South points of a compass forms a bullseye and a crossroad at the exact centre of the compass. A bullseye is a classic example of a centrepoint. At the bullseye, a target is hit perfectly. Another classic centrepoint is the crossroad. Roads from each direction come to meet in an intersection or junction known as a crossroad. At a crossroad, one must make a decision: to go forward, to go back, to go left, to go right, or to remain in place at the crossroad. This decision is unavoidable. A news piece is a piece of new information. New information is an unavoidable mental crossroad. Each piece of new information can be accepted (as true), rejected (as false), modified, challenged, or ignored. Once new information has reached the mind, this decision is unavoidable. Thus, the news media brings many new pieces of information (in the form of breaking news stories and bulletins) to consumers of the news media, immediately and undeniably placing the news media consumer at a mental crossroad in the mind, forcing the news media consumer to make a decision at each crossroad. These 'decision points' are rapidly fired at the news media watcher, making a correct decision in their mind even more unlikely because of the limited time to correctly process and correctly analyse each news story. An imbalanced mind will certainly make an incorrect decision. Each incorrect decision compounds the imbalance of the mind. In this way, the dark occultists hit the bullseye of mind influence on a grand scale with the use of news programming. The occultists have achieved their aim of creating and deepening the brain schisms in the mind of the new media watcher. A brain schism is a broken piece of the mind. Consuming news stories subconsciously creates countless broken pieces within the mind. Note that crosshairs form the same shape as a crossroad. A crosshair is 'a pair of fine wires or lines crossing at right angles at the focus of an optical instrument or gun sight, for use in positioning, aiming, or measuring'. The dark occultists have all news media watchers and readers in their mind control gun sight.
