Note: from the AESO interconnect requests, aside from Karina’s three sites, Myers, Alsike and Lone Pine there are very few other co-location approval requests. I know from Kineticor’s presentation to Rocky View County that their energy source is not co-located, and like Lone Pine there data centres coming online modules are scheduled to come online a year or two before their power source power supply, ie having to draw from the grid until the power plant is online in 2029. Hence the focus on the power shortfall from 2027/2028 as pointed out in the AESO webinar.
