I have no recollection of them ever talking about crypto or the likes, only AI and data centres. The Saddle Hills extension request specifically stated:
Kalina has developed other commercial opportunities for the project focused on contracting with data centre companies, to co-locate with the Saddle Hills power project.
But no mention of what the data centre operators were looking to do. Perhaps one or more of the bidders are into crypto or bitcoin mining.
Crusoe have definitely moved on from bitcoin mining, having sold that part of their business to focus on AI data centres.
