Insurance - the purpose of this thread.
Yes the insurance industry needs return business but it's fundamental m.o. is to keep payouts low so that its rates are lower than the competition, and unfortunately for KPT, the elephant in the room is the location of their plantations being next to the most fire prone N.P. in Oz. It will regenerate and reburn on a probably shorter cycle than the current 12 years - 2007 - 2019. So lets hear from some insurance Co's that say they want to get KPT's business as I think they run a risk ruler over all business these days and the current insurer must be recalibrating theirs.
