Directors putting their own money in the game can only be positive IMO. Fullstop. "Loyal shareholders" are very quick to turn hostile and for example bag the hell out of the MD because he needed some personal leave.
It is up to shareholders to decide on their personal direction as to hold or fold, or look for signals as to why to participate or not. Personally I will follow the money of the only people who ever really know what's happening day to day and meeting by meeting.
Just my opinion and personal strategy.
