Haha...thanks for taking the time to respond at such great length, and I'm quite shocked you didn't somehow manage to weave in that AVL would be immune to crashes due to their high grades and spectacular marketing. When gold is up money flows into gold spec stocks because the gold in the ground has some perceived value. In bad times I agree spec stocks will get hit hard, but I'd rather hold one with gold than one without. I don't think anyone holds spec stocks as an insurance policy against macro crashes. What might have been misleading was that my post assumed KRC would be in gold production (or close to) by the time the next crash comes. My guess is the crash will Be this year or in 2020 when the US runs out of money from all Trump's image-inflating expenditure. I reckon KRC will be mining gold by 2020.
