Hi HDD, looks real interesting. As TNG has stated there TIVAN process is a combination of a number of industry standard components and there are a huge number of patents for any of the individual extraction processes.

It's the combination of the processes, yield %s, grade %s and importantly bottom line cost of production that will matter. Costings are not covered in the announcement. TNG have got that covered and it only took 5 plus years!!! Looks like KRC are possibly were TNG was in 2008 to 2014.

Do you remember Vanadiumcorps bold headlines c 2014 when they announced a break through extraction metallurgical process process for their Lac Dore Project, hadn't heard anything about it since, in fact they've moved on to another set of trials.

All this says is titomagnetite extraction for vanadium and Titanium is a focus because of future demand and others are in the race. TNG (given some third party support) is ahead of the pack.

Sort it BoD. We got the edge don't little it away by sitting on your hands.

Quite interesting post on the krc forum. More people talk about tivan please

V2O5 of 99.5% purity is battery grade.

V2O5 of varying purity (40% - 80% I assume) is added to pig iron and aluminum to make a slag and then with a bit more processing eventually made into FeV, or ferrovanadium, with a Vanadium (not V2O5) percentage of (40% - 80%) with price dependent upon percentage of Vanadium.

The FeV price is what you'll get if you google "price chart Vanadium" and is what is referred to when posters on the KRC board say "Vanadium prices are going through the roof...". 99% of FeV produced is used in steel making

V2O5 of 99.5% purity is much more valuable than FeV, but is expensive and difficult to produce. The majority of it comes from China. Look up sedimentary Vanadium deposits (China has a lot of these as well as ASX:SYR). Its easier to produce 99.5% V2O5 from these types of deposits than it is for magnetite Vanadium deposits (ASX:KRC and ASX:TNG).

To get an idea of how difficult it is to get 99.5% V2O5 from a magnetite deposit look at ASX:TNG. They can now but it took a while. If KRC can't work out how to get 99.5% purity we could potentially license their patented method
