Yes, but it is totally cynical of her to do so. The immigrants won't be coming anyway. The reason?
1/ You cannot import hundreds of thousands of people when the border is closed.
2/ You cannot import hundreds of thousands of people when there are no jobs for.
Sadly, I think many Australian's believe they have a choice in these matters. That the taps are turned on and off according to some grand plan. They don't & they aren't.
Politicians will do whatever is expedient.
