Nuff said - to all and everybody: think of someone, nominate someone who would be a worthy nomination to represent Australia for Secretary General.

    1. The position does not represent Australia, it represents the United Nations.

    2. The position does not represent the Australian government, Bernardi won that position.

    3. There is a convention in a democracy called the Separation of Powers. The State cannot be Judge, Jury and Executioner UNLESS it is a coalition government of course.

So was the right decision made? Obviously not if you believe in all that is fair and just.

This decision was purely political because the Australian Government would be embarrassed before the world if Rudd was to be elected. Our position on Human Rights, Asylum Seeker Detention, Aboriginal Deaths in Custody, Indigineous Youth Detention and Boat Turnbacks to mention but a few, would have the Secretary General at odds with the Current Coalition Cabinet.

Marshmellow Mal did the honourable thing by not subjecting Mr Rudd to the hositile abuse he would have encountered had he been elected to the position. Well done Mal - a true patriot and supporter of Liberty, Fraternity and Charity.
