I don't think Dutton is reacting to the threat of teals or other parties/independents. it seems he secured a deal with PHONys and PUPpys to not take Lib votes so he's hoping to pick up more seats in western suburbs - hahahehe he's try to change the Lib supporters profile by dodging the real Liberal Party support base and stealing the impoverished, disgruntled poverty neighbourhoods.
someone should caution him that this just might fail and leave the Libs without a base at all.
Dutton claimed the Libs had enabled the installation of Gigawatts of renewable energy, taking the credit for Gillard's ARENA and CEFC and state govt projects to expand solar across the state (in the absence of a fed Govt plan). Dutton doesn't see to realise how extending the coal plants lifespan will cost govt a large sum as most will need new turbines and boilers. no doubt the private businesses will milk such a plan for all its worth, and ask for more.
