Pretty quiet on TLS threat (sorry, I meant thread) - probably time to pause, catch our breath and reflect as this senate sitting has ended.
From an outsider's perspective and watching how things have developed politically I believe we should give some kudos to Thodey and his team for how they have handled the political situation to date.
TLS' comments have been measured and timely. They appear to have behaved professionally - no leaks. They haven't given Fielding any reason to believe TLS are being unreasonable nor disingenious in their negotiations - it would only take his vote to pass the bill.
Similarly, TLS haven't given the Greens any reason to voice concern with TLS directly - in fact gave them a clear run to ask that CONroy table the report.
A real highwire act - stark contrast to Sol and his team.
