First interview I've seen of Newmo. Not good. Wouldn't u agree?
- Slams Google 'Satellite View' as fuzzy in opening sentence.. Haven't we been told Google is COMPLIMENTARY so NEA can exist with Google providing the satellite overview with NEA providing the detail? Confusing.
- Mentions Pictometry as a competitor (! ?) Noone expects the CEO to actually name (read: promote) a rival in a media interview - this is basic stuff.
- Seems to really struggle to talk about what the business is? Sounded very muddled and confused to me.
- What about the visual analytics or big data strategy that NEA is developing? Isn't this the perfect change to plug the longer term strategy? Or is he just not across it?
- He mentions 'Side views' - c'mon there's gotta be a better and more articulate way to describe what is a MAJOR requirement for the US market? Where are NEA developing this capability v Pictometry??
Hopefully this guy improves for all our sakes. Want to see him do well but he's got a LONG way to go if he's the pitch man for the company.
