“In Kyrgyzstan, the cost of 9 gold deposits is equal to the price of 99 horses,” the chairman of the Asaba party, Salmoorbek Dyikanov, stated at today’s press conference in 24.kg news agency.

According to his estimates, the total area of 9 gold deposits is 77 thousand hectares, and their reserve price does not even reach $100 thousand.

“If we count, the cost of all these deposits is equal to the price of 99 horses, since one horse costs $1 thousand,” he said.

He gave data for reserve price of licensed areas according to which deposits are estimated at $ 60 and above. “Only one company had a claim on coal deposit, which reserve price was $65 thousand, and its reserves number 65 thousand tons. It turns out that we sell 100 thousand tons of coal at KGS 4.7,” he added.

Salmoorbek Dyikanov believes that Kyrgyzstan’s economy can be developed by other means. “If the authorities can not earn money and only think about selling natural resources, then we do not need such power,” he stressed.
