I’ve heard these claims being made over my 25+ years of trading and it does happen it’s an interesting comment
I don’t believe Aust holds the US back much but I do believe the US has a greater percentage of over exuberance and a heap of traders pile in and then in a short period out again - they are basically all just looking for fast bucks for free and are bereft of any deep knowledge of what’s actually going on in this company other companies.
below in august And november the spikes in Aust well out performed the US but more recently the US is pulling ahead - it wants to move but will also want to pull back as short term traders exit
in the US capital gains taxes are less promoting short term scalping of a companies market capital for short term gains...
imo this does nothing to promote the companies abilities to ‘make the world a better place’ through developing its products but is part of the eco system.
I’d rather see an orderly sustainable increase and you can see the ranging activity of the US in the KZIA chart... it has way higher highs and lower lows in the same session - I think aust does less of this and that can be seen in the daily trading ranges - in a way it’s more honest
if the US is meaningfully leading the Aust market why are the two prices within a few percent of each other even today?
as can be seen in the chat in August and November aust was higher but ultimately they equal out - the experiment of releasing news in the US first showed zero sustained SP price action compared to those by points when released in Australia first imho
I think I the aust market shows less violent swings better for the investor and not so good for short term traders - suits me fine.
the company shows 400% increases in the last year - seems a good result to me and if it does the same this year great and if it does so without feeding those who just grab and run I’m fine with that too - they come without any loyalty to the cause what so ever... it’s not a benefit to Kazia or to suffers it’s a completely selfish act and without them you could argue the SP would be higher.
just my two cents and each to their own.
