It looks like to me with quick search that it is just to prevent breakdown of the BBB and promote effectiveness of temzolomide synergisticly/or allow to work longer. No indication that it is a competitor that would replace from what I read, but would perhaps be used with a drug that crosses the BBB. When have time will see if I can dig more...
