Today was great news for GGY but it has to be remembered KZL are no charity & like their similiar move on MLM last year, could probably offer a KZL director as a board member to GGY in the next week or two. MLM must have become fearful of KZL influence so sort other large placements to new players to dilute the power of KLZ.
I suspect KZL BIG PICTURE is to have a holding in both MLM & GGY & maybe one day bring all the companies together either under one operation or as one company.
Today's actions now mean KZL will get to decide GGY future should any other company take an interest in GGY because they have such a big start.
MLM must have wanted to spread its major shareholders so should a bid come at a later date there would at least be 2 warring parties. It will be interesting to see whether GGY goes down a similiar path to protect itself from one major shareholder or is happy to let one dominant shareholder call the shots.
The MLM experience has been very profitable for all shareholders pre KZL original placement.
KZL move today certainly will draw the attention of other players to the activities of GGY.
With shortage of staff, drill rigs & equipment one of the easiest ways to build a company is through acquisitions of known resources. It has been happening in the big end of the resource sector & I am sure KZL is not about to let a possible resource slip through its hand given it is so close & with so many cost benefits to both companies.
